Located in the old space of Joni's bakeshop is a new place to dine for good simple but excellent food.  Owned by the family who formerly owned Joni's, they have put together a menu that will satisfy your cravings everytime. From salad to dessert, every order is a treat.

My super duper main favorite is their Raspberry Vinegarette salad.  With shaved cheese, dried raspberry and their home made salad dressing, this is my lunch treat and enough to satisfy my lunch hunger.  Believe it or not, this only costs around P95 per serving.

For the main dish, they also offer a lot of good meals that come with rice.  When I used to eat a lot of meat, I would always always order Hainanese chicken with flavored rice. This is one of their offering that you should not miss.

They also server beef salpicao with garlic rice, Parmesan crusted fish with herbed rice, bangus a manaman, steamed bangus, pork and chicken adobo, chicken inasal and 3 kinds chorizo among others.  Personally, I love love love the parmesan crusted fish with herbed rice. Really good!

check out their board too since their specials change everyday. One time I chanced upon their kare-kare for that day and I think I had two cups of rice. My golly! It was that good! I don't think I can ever do that again. hahaha!

If you are in a mood for a snack, they also offer the trademark Joni's food of palabok, puto bumbong and bibingka. Don't forget to order the ever sweet Joni's iced tea.

For dessert, my personal favorites are the chocolate cake with caramel sauce and the coffee jelly. The chocolate cake is perfect for a sweet tooth with a caramel siding which you can pour on top of your cake or dip each mini slice in it.  Coffee jelly comes with cereal like chocolate crispies and vanilla ice cream.  Just writing about it makes me want to run to The Cafe and have some.

The dining experience at The Cafe is relaxing with its cozy and homey feel.  The walls are lined up with family photos from the 1930's to the present.  They also play fun, relaxing old songs from the Beatles, Bee gees and other songs from the past. I really enjoy eating here. The Suarez' family is also very hands on and you can ask them about anything in their menu and they would gladly chat with you.

This place is like my home away from home with home-cooked meals.  My comfort food in a lovely place.
